Greetings,
I have the distinct honor of serving as the 25th President of the Zeta Alpha Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. after serving as the 23rd. In this role, I again serve on behalf of the Men of this Chapter.
Zeta Alpha Sigma has contributed to the Howard County Community since its inception on September 27, 1976. As I stand on the shoulders of the proceeding presidents, I pledge to continue this good works. We have a dynamic group of Men with a wide range of skills and expertise in various areas. We continue to support our International Programs (Bigger and Better Business, Social Action, Education, and Sigma Beta Clubs). We have developed and nurtured partnerships with the organizations, schools and a college in the Howard County Community and continue to led key initiatives to support and advocate for People of Color in the County. This is by far the most important work to do in the current political, social and economic climate.
As we continue to find ways to connect with and support our local community and reach our most precious resource, our youth, I am always mindful of our Fraternity’s motto: “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.”
I challenge each Brother and member of our community to strive to improve your relationships with each other; to improve the human condition in your community; to honor your commitment to service; and to remember those who served before you and their contributions to our organization, families and our communities.
I am excited about the future and I challenge you to get excited too as “Our Cause Speeds On Its Way!”
Fraternally,
Ron Martin
President
