On April 26, 2019, Brother Lemeul Lewie was inducted into the Omega Chapter. Brother Lewie was an active member of the Zeta Alpha Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. until his death on April 14, 2019. Born on November 8th, 1919, Brother Lewie has seen and participated in many historic chapters of his life. He was most notably a member of the Historic Tuskegee Airmen and served in the US Army through World War II. Brother Lewie served the wonderous band of Phi Beta Sigma for 66 years leading and participating in our many projects and community service efforts impacting Howard County, Baltimore City, and all points in between. He served as mentor for the many Brothers who came after him. Over the recent years, he was known as our chapter’s oldest member and we embraced his knowledge and wisdom. The Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Zeta Alpha Sigma Chapter extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife for 70 years, Reva, his daughter, family and friends.
